234 Hectares of Public Land Recovered in May, Housing Authority Reports
Iran’s National Land and Housing Organization has reclaimed 234 hectares of public land following 400 cases of illegal encroachment in May, according to the agency’s CEO.
Ali Nabian, CEO of the Organization and Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, said the rapid response was carried out by the agency’s Protection Unit across multiple provinces. “In May alone, 234 hectares of state-owned land were swiftly recovered through enforcement measures,” he said.
The highest number of incidents and land recoveries occurred in the provinces of Khuzestan, Tehran, and Fars, Nabian noted.
He added that, during the same period, 34 court-approved land recovery orders were executed by the Protection Unit, resulting in the enforcement of rulings over nearly 50 hectares of land.
The Organization’s Protection Unit operates nationwide to safeguard state-owned land and prevent illegal occupation or misuse, often in coordination with judicial and local authorities.
