Housing Cooperative Issues Reviewed in Sardasht
Ali Nabian, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and head of the National Land and Housing Organization, visited Sardasht County on Friday to address longstanding issues related to the National Housing Movement and local housing cooperatives.
According to the Organization’s Public Relations Office, the meeting at the Sardasht Governor’s Office was part of Nabian’s official tour of West Azarbaijan Province, during which housing-related challenges in Piranshahr, Sardasht, and Mahabad were discussed.
Nabian announced that, following sustained efforts by both the national headquarters and provincial officials, protracted problems concerning the Teachers’ Housing Cooperatives (Phases III and IV) have been resolved. He also confirmed that legal and administrative issues involving the Fadak Cooperative had reached a conclusion.
The resolution of these issues, he said, aligns with the goals of the National Housing Movement and aims to accelerate housing construction in Sardasht. Nabian further emphasized the strategic importance of urban development in the region and announced that land required for new housing projects has been secured.
Efforts are also underway to speed up project implementation by expanding urban land boundaries and changing land-use classifications where necessary. Nabian stressed that resolving cooperative disputes is critical to removing bottlenecks in public housing initiatives across the region.
