Iran Allocates Over 15,000 Hectares for Housing Armed Forces Personnel and Retirees
Iran has reached agreements to allocate 15,470 hectares of land for housing projects for eligible armed forces personnel and retirees, the head of the National Land and Housing Organization said.
Ali Nabian, who also serves as deputy minister of roads and urban development, stated that bilateral agreements for 5,810 hectares across 30 cities have already been implemented. Agreements covering an additional 5,762 hectares are under review and will be finalized after approval by the organization’s board and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, he added.
Another 3,898 hectares have been identified for feasibility studies and rectification of deficiencies before being allocated for housing, Nabian said.
Today’s joint meeting with representatives of the armed forces focused on evaluating land parcels in five provinces to determine their suitability for housing development, he noted.
Under the Housing Production Leap Law, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the General Staff of the Armed Forces are required to provide housing for military staff and retirees.
