Joint Meeting to Implement the Letter of Understanding for Housing of Armed Forces Personnel in line with the National Action Plan
A joint meeting was held with the presence of the managing director and the board members of the National Land and Housing Organization together with the representatives of the Armed Forces (Islamic Republic Army, Revolutionary Guards, Disciplinary Forces, and the Ministry of Defense) to implement the tripartite letter of understanding of Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Ministry of Defense, and General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces at the National Land and Housing Organization.
A joint meeting was held with the presence of the
managing director and the board members of the National Land and Housing
Organization together with the representatives of the Armed Forces (Islamic
Republic Army, Revolutionary Guards, Disciplinary Forces, and the Ministry of
Defense) to implement the tripartite letter of understanding of Ministry of
Roads and Urban Development, Ministry of Defense, and General Staff of Iran’s
Armed Forces at the National Land and Housing Organization.
As reported by the Public Relations of the National
Land and Housing Organization, while mentioning that the tripartite letter of
understanding has been signed in 2018 regarding the assignment of the lands at
the possession of the Armed Forces, Ahmad Asghari Mehrabadi stated that “Based
on the agreements, it is laid down that the lands included in clauses 2 and 4
of the Letter of Understanding, shall be given to the Armed Forces for
construction of residential units in line with the National Action Plan and
housing for the same; and in the provinces where there is land deficit, the
priority of land supply is given to lands of clauses 2 and 4.”
Ministry of Roads and Urban Development Deputy
emphasized the acceleration of the process of the tripartite memorandum and
added, “Among the issues discussed in the meeting were the issues of
preparation of the assigned lands, share of the parties, and land deficit in
some provinces.”
Stating that the general axis of memorandum
execution is followed up and on hand of task force, he said “The issue of the
housing for executive staff is one of the programs that is still on the agenda
of the Organization as in the past.”
It is worth mentioning that that according to this
memorandum, which was signed in order to provide 100,000 residential units in
the form of National Housing Action, land supply for 55,000 units has been put
into operation and on the other hand, the issue of determining the assignment
of available lands, according to sub-commission and provincial meetings in the
presence of representatives of the parties has been implemented for 48,000
hectares of lands.
